National Junior College Athletic Association Forms Partnership with CarrSports Consulting

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – CarrSports Consulting is pleased to announce a partnership with the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) that will make CarrSports the Preferred Sports Consulting Partner of the NJCAA.

Among the services and deliverables to be provided by CarrSports to the 500 NJCAA member schools are executive searches, business planning, fiscal management, feasibility studies, operations reviews, strategic planning and Title IX assessments. The partnership with the NJCAA adds yet another high-profile client to the CarrSports portfolio from across the country.

University of the Incarnate Word Retains CarrSports for Athletic Director Search

National Search Firm Hired to Help Find Leader for Growing Division I Program

San Antonio – Feb. 25, 2020 – The University of the Incarnate Word has announced that it has started its national search for the position of UIW athletic director. The University has retained CarrSports Consulting to assist with the search.

CarrSports Consulting has over 20 years of experience in executive searches and management consulting services for intercollegiate athletics. Their portfolio includes more than 130 successful leadership searches and 70 intensely-focused management consulting projects conducted from coast to coast, providing clients with outstanding service and best options for meaningful solutions.

UIW is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I and the Southland Conference. The University is proud to have 23 teams representing 14 different sports. UIW began the reclassification process as a NCAA Division I athletics department during the 2013-14 academic year. UIW completed the process and became postseason eligible in 2017-18.

The athletic programs include baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s fencing, football, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s indoor track and field, men’s and women’s outdoor track and field, softball, synchronized swimming and volleyball. Since its transition to Division I, UIW has won conference championships in football (2018), men’s tennis (2018) and men’s swimming and diving (2018 and 2019).

UIW Athletics prides itself in developing the student-athlete as a whole person, promoting excellence in competition, in the classroom and in the community. In addition to success in competition, the student-athletes have completed more than 5,100 hours of community service each year since the 2013-14 academic year. Additionally, UIW’s student-athletes have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in every semester of the school’s Division I history.

UIW’s men’s soccer team is an affiliate member of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), while its swimming and diving team is a member of the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA). Fencing competes in the Western Conference. All other sports compete in the Southland Conference.
